The place where the bio lives —

Based in Wathaurong Country (Australia), I am a new media artist working in immersive mixed/extended realities (XR) — with a focus on multi-modal installations and performance.

Working with artist Emma Roberts, my practice integrates integrates immersive technology within audience-led installations to create collective experiences that expand perceptions, reawaken curiosity and instill a sense of awe and wonder to the mundane

My work includes the durational installation Gondwana (2022), which was presented at Sundance, SXSW, Adelaide Festival, ACMI, MIT, Science Gallery Michigan, and Kunstahl Charlottenborg among others.

Recently, I’ve focused on creatively exploring my lived experience of a motion-based disability — vestibular migraine. The first major project of this creative research, Turbulence: Jamais Vu, won Best Immersive prize at IDFA 2023 and was selected as one of ten projects for Venice Film Festival’s Best of VR program for 2024. It has since won several international awards in Japan, Czechia and Australia.

I’m passionate about access in XR, disabled-led experiential storytelling and supporting new voices in the dark arts of immersive. As well as exhibiting internationally, I’m always a keen mentor and have presented keynotes for NYU Tisch, MIT Open Doc Lab and spoken widely at Sundance New Frontier, ACMI, Watershed Bristol, and Melbourne Festival.

My interest in the visceral and bodily affects of XR is supported by a practice-led PhD at the University of Melbourne, exploring the emergent framework of sensory experience and composition in virtual immersion.
